Hay Ling Tam

At age 17, Hay Ling was a piano accompanist, music tutor & teacher assistant at Modesto Junior College. Her early musical training came from Ms. Grace Tseng, an honor graduate of The Royal Schools of Music, London and prize winner of various piano competitions in Hong Kong. Later she studied under Dr. Alejandor Sabre, DMA of the Eastman School of Music and was a student of Irene Schreier, Rebecca Penneys, and Steven Laitz. Hay Ling earned the Piano Certificate of Merit in Grade 8 from ABRSM, and became the piano prize winner of The Annual Hong Kong Schools Music Festival 98-99 and 00-01.

Hay Ling was nominated with various scholarships including the Dr. Leroy Gilson Memorial, Lena & Jules Peron, Robert Hamilton, Modesto Junior College Friends of Music, Beatrice Colton, Shirley Woodward, Robert Hamilton, California Music Teachers Association and from CSU Northridge Music Program. She's a current member of Sigma Alpha Iota and the America Music Therapy Association.
